Dr. John Clore is a Double Knight – he received his undergraduate and M.D. degrees at UCF and now has returned to Orlando to become a primary care physician at Nemours Children’s Health. As an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the UCF College of Medicine, he is very involved in medical education. He is a pediatrics preceptor for third- and fourth-year medical students, works with Community of Practice students and is also a residency career advisor.

Dr. Clore did his residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He is the Associate Chief of Primary Care at Nemours and is also on the medical staff at UCF Lake Nona Hospital and HCA Florida’s Oviedo Medical Center, covering the newborn nursery as a hospitalist. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Here is what the UCF medical students say about Dr. Clore:

  • Dr. John Clore was an outstanding preceptor. He was very approachable and an excellent role model. Dr. Clore took significant time out of his day to make sure I understood important teaching points about the patients. He truly cared about my learning and made me feel as if I was a part of the team. I also learned a considerable amount about the medical, social and educational management of children with ADHD. Dr. Clore is an asset to Nemours and the College of Medicine. I highly recommend him for future students.
  • Dr. Clore was super helpful in explaining pathophysiology and why certain tests/treatments are administered. He has a very strong understanding and was able to convey his knowledge in ways that were easily digestible to students. He was a great teacher, and I learned so much from him in a short time!
  • Best preceptor ever!!! Really cares about his students and loves to teach. Really prioritized my education and learning opportunities. Patients love him!!! It was a true honor working with Dr. Clore!
