Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, offers integrated cancer services with convenient access to cutting-edge therapies for those facing cancer in communities across the United States and United Kingdom. Sarah Cannon’s Radiation Oncology Network, one of the largest in the United States, encompasses more than 55 facilities treating more than 1,000 patients every day.  Sarah Cannon cancer care at UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center includes individualized patient navigation provided by oncology-trained nurses to support patients through their cancer journey. askSARAH is a dedicated helpline is a dedicated helpline for your cancer-related questions. Our specially trained nurses are available 24/7, and all calls are confidential.

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is one of the world’s leading oncology research organizations conducting community-based clinical trials. Focused on advancing therapies for patients over the last three decades, SCRI is a leader in drug development. It has conducted nearly 700 first-in-human clinical trials since its inception and contributed to pivotal research that has led to the majority of new cancer therapies approved by the FDA today. In 2021, in partnership with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, SCRI opened a drug development unit in the UCF Lake Nona Cancer Center. The first of its kind in Lake Nona, the DDU focuses exclusively on oncology clinical trials at the earliest phases of research and was designed to meet the specialized needs of patients seeking advanced cancer treatment options.

The Radiation Oncology Department of UCF Lake Nona Hospital is part of the hospital’s oncology team, providing compassionate and comprehensive cancer care with state-of-the-art technology, leading-edge research and best practices to diagnose and treat various cancers at all stages accurately.

The UCF College of Medicine’s Cancer Research Division is on the vanguard of cancer biology, investigating topics such as how patients’ genes play a role in their cancer risk, what causes cancer and cancer metastasis and how to harness the body’s immune system to fight cancer. The division’s collaborative approach harnesses expertise in cutting edge sciences to bring us closer to finding a cure for cancers.
