The Basic and Population Health Sciences Research Award recognizes faculty who demonstrate emerging excellence, growth, and future potential in basic science research. This award serves as a developmental pathway toward more prestigious research recognition (e.g., the UCF Research Incentive Award–RIA).

Nominees do not need to meet every example; examples are intended to guide holistic review within the context of the nominee’s field and career stage.
