Peer Supporters unite! M2, M3, and M4 students who join the Peer Support Program are trained in active listening, the Question, Persuade, Respond suicide prevention method, wellness and health promotion, and relaxation techniques to support their peers. The group was originally intended so upperclass-students could support the new M-1 cohort during their adjustment to medical school. It has grown to include a wide variety of student organized events that bring the campus together, while also providing a much needed and very wholesome break from studies.

Walk-in Hours

Meet with a Peer Supporter for a place to vent about life in general. You can get some tips on relaxation, support from someone who’s been through the M1 year of medical school, or just some company while you study.

Walk-in hours occur on Thursdays in COM 416D from 4-5 PM or via Zoom, unless otherwise noted.

A licensed therapist will always be available for consultation or in case of emergency.
