UCF Health, the College of Medicine physician practice, opens its second location in the heart of Medical City on March 16.

The new practice is located in the Gateway Building at Narcoossee Road and Tavistock Lakes Boulevard and features primary care and specialists under one roof. UCF Health is sharing the location with Florida Hospital as the two independent healthcare entities collaborate for the good of patients.

“We are expanding our multispecialty practice to serve more people across our community,” said Dr. Deborah German, UCF vice president for medical affairs and dean of the medical school. “We are excited to bring needed out-patient care to our Lake Nona neighbors.”

All physicians at UCF Health are faculty members at the UCF College of Medicine.

The first doctors at the new location are internal medicine specialist Dr. Anteneh Addisu, a physician-scientist who holds both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in molecular science, and Dr. Shazia Bég, who is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and cares for patients with diseases of the joints, muscles and bones, including arthritis and lupus. The College of Medicine expects to add dermatology and other additional specialties soon.

UCF Health’s first location opened in November 2011 at University and Quadrangle Boulevards, just two blocks from the main UCF campus. It was previously called UCF Health. The University Boulevard location includes faculty physicians who are board certified in primary and specialty care, including internal and family medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, rheumatology, geriatrics, sports medicine and nephrology. Both UCF Health facilities care for patients ages 16 and up and accept most insurance plans.

UCF Health has a new website featuring both practices. Please visit it at http://ucfhealth.com/
