Six UCF College of Medicine faculty are among the 100 at UCF who were recognized for their excellence and awarded promotion, including two with tenure.
Strong candidates are identified and recommended over the course of the academic year based on criteria such as their abilities to elevate student success and accelerate research.
Following the review process, the president and provost make final decisions on promotions, while the UCF Board of Trustees provides final approval for tenure candidates.
Promotions and tenure conferrals annually take effect on Aug. 8.
