Kids with autism are often averse to touch. So a program in the UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences’ Division of Kinesiology – part of the Academic Health Sciences Center – is holding a judo summer camp to help them overcome this and build up their confidence in social situations. Faculty are doing research in this area and it looks promising for improving the social and physical health of these kids.
