Daniel Torres, Business Services Staff Specialist
Daniel Torres joined the College of Medicine on February 5. He will be working as a business services staff specialist at UCF Health under the supervision of Kathy Sadler. He will be located at UCF Health and can be reached at 407-309-4800. Prior to coming to the College of Medicine, Daniel worked as an office manager at Meister Productions in Orlando.
Tara Ware, Echocardiogram Technician
Tara Ware joined the college on February 5 as an Echocardiogram Technician at UCF Health. She will report to Linda Smelser, is located at UCF Health and can be reached at 407-309-4800. Tara also currently works at Florida Hospital Orlando as a cardiovascular sonographer.
Julianna Vogel, Business Services Staff Specialist
Julianna Vogel joined the College of Medicine on February 5 and will be working as a business services staff specialist at UCF Health under the supervision of Kathy Sadler. She will be located at UCF Health and can be reached at 407-309-4800. Prior to coming to the College of Medicine, Julianna worked as a program advisor for Business & Communications/Distance Learning Advisor at the Verity Institute in Indiana.
George Lopez, Sr. Broadcasting Technician
George Lopez joined the college on February 5 as videographer in the Development Department. He is located in COM 314K and can be reached at extension 6-1048. He will report to Charles Roberts. Before coming to the medical school, George was a multimedia specialist at Freelance in Orlando.
William Scoltock, Accountant
William Scoltock, Jr joined the College of Medicine on February 15 as an accountant with the Regional Extension Center. His primary responsibilities will be to reconcile accounting records, ledgers, and accountability of subsidiary and departmental ledgers. William will report to Maria Echeverria. His office is located in the Regional Extension Center and can be reached at 407-823-2451.
Kristina Kise, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry
Dr. Kise joined the College of Medicine on February 15 as an assistant professor of psychiatry in the department of Faculty and Academic Affairs as an adjunct faculty member. She will report to Dr. Richard Peppler. Dr. Kise currently works as a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with Dr. Robert Goldstein in Winter Park. She is located on COM 4th Floor and can be reached at extension 6-1100.
Reixa Phillips, Administrative Assistant
Reixa Phillips joined the College of Medicine on February 21 as an administrative assistant at UCF Health. She will report to Linda Smelser, is located at UCF Health, and can be reached at 407-309-4800. Prior to coming to the College of Medicine, Reixa was the owner of Artsy Events in Orlando, where she was an event planner.
Brenda Perez, Administrative Assistant
Brenda Perez joined the college on February 22 as an administrative assistant with the Clinical Sciences Department. Her primary responsibilities will be to support the faculty collaborating in the medical education curriculum, clinical practice and external associations. She will report to Ms. Geovanna Abreu. Her office is located in COM 409 and can be reached at extension 6-1057.
Neha Bhanusali, Assistant Professor of Medicine
Dr. Neha Bhanusali joined the college on February 15 as an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Clinical Sciences. Dr. Bhanusali will report to Dr. Ralph Caruana and also see patients at UCF Health. Before coming to the college, Dr. Bhanusali was an assistant professor of immunology, allergy, and rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Her office is located in UCF Health and can be reached at extension 6-3627.
Joe Dexter, Facilities Scheduler
Joe Dexter joined the College of Medicine on March 15 as the facilities scheduler with the Department of Health Sciences Campus Operations. Joe will be responsible for scheduling, security, accounts payable and hospitality functions. He reports to Larry Langford. His office is located at COM’s welcome desk on the first floor and can be reached at extension 6-7233.
Marie-Lou Meyer, Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer
Marie-Lou Meyer joined the College of Medicine on April 5 as an application systems analyst programmer with the Information Technology Department. Her primary responsibilities will be to coordinate the design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of ERP application systems to service assigned departments and applications with a responsibility for understanding each department’s business processes. Marie-Lou will report to William Atkinson. Her office is located in COM 301 and can be reached at extension 6-1240.
Melba Ovalle, Associate Professor of Internal Medicine
Dr. Melba Ovalle started at the College of Medicine on April 9 as an associate professor of internal medicine. She will be working in the Department of Faculty and Academic Affairs as an adjunct faculty member and will report to Dr. Richard Peppler. She also currently works as the assistant program chair and medical director at Nova Southeastern University. She is located on COM 4th Floor and can be reached at extension 6-1100.
