What is a contract?
A contract is an agreement between two or more parties that creates an obligation to do or not do a particular thing. It can be an exchange for services, a promise, a commitment, a requirement, and/or responsibility to perform. There does not have to be a payment of money to create a contract. If you are unsure as to whether a document is a contract, contact the Health Affairs Legal Department.
All contracts must be submitted for review and approval through CobbleStone, the university’s contract management system prior to execution by UCF.
