Anatomy is taught in a high-tech 8,100 square foot lab with 22 dissection tables, 2 preparation rooms, cold storage, demonstration area, and space for future research.
Ceiling-mounted monitor/computer terminals adjacent to the dissection tables allow for easy access to a digital dissections manual and internet access to educational resources during dissection. A virtual cadaver table is available for 3-dimensional viewing of both anatomy/CT imaging of normal anatomy and hundreds of examples of pathology, embryologic and surgical anatomy/imaging. 90 inch monitor/computers are available for student groups and/or student/faculty to discuss normal and abnormal anatomy and medical imaging. The anatomy laboratory is used for a year 1 anatomy component, advanced and teaching of anatomy for senior electives, and surgical courses for physicians.
