The College of Medicine’s 170,000-square-foot medical education building features the latest in lab and classroom technology that delivers the medical school’s innovative, patient-centered curriculum. The building is home to the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library, a Clinical Skills and Simulation Center, a 5,300-square-foot Microscopy Lab and a world-class Anatomy Lab.

Anatomy Lab

Anatomy is taught in a high-tech 8,100 square foot lab with 22 dissection tables, 2 preparation rooms, cold storage, demonstration area, and space for future research.

Microscopy Lab

The Microscopy laboratory is the lab of the future. Using virtual digitized slides, students explore the secrets of the cell and its pathology and are able to compare normal to abnormal tissues. The laboratory also supports traditional histology and pathology slide study with a ten-headed microscope equipped with digital image capturing and multiple video monitors.
