Jason Konopack, MD MPH is board-certified in family medicine and serves as core faculty with the UCF HCA Family Medicine Residency in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Konopack joined as residency faculty in February of 2021 after serving as faculty at the University of Florida College of Medicine for over 5 years. He attended the University of South Florida where he received his bachelor of science degree in microbiology, and obtained his master’s degree in public health with a concentration on global health and communicable disease. He then attended the Florida State University College of Medicine where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Konopack completed a family medicine residency at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine. 

 Dr. Konopack joined the UCF College of Medicine as an adjunct faculty member in 2022, and will be serving as the Assistant Program Director of the UME IMFM Clerkship. He has written articles for Diabetes Care, The American Journal of Infection Control, Journal of Pharmacy Practice, and other peer-reviewed journals, and presented research at APIC Conferences and at conferences of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He has been recognized with the Outstanding Performance in Geriatrics Award from the Florida Geriatrics Society, and the SHARP Award, in Recognition of Outstanding Research presented by the Chair of the Global Health Department at the USF College of Public Health. From the University of Florida College of Medicine he has been awarded with the Exemplary Teaching Award multiple times. From the UF Department of Community Health and Family Medicine he has been awarded the Golden Gator Teaching Award. Dr. Konopack’s interests include public health and safety; modernizing the delivery of primary care via a multidisciplinary approach, improving the impact of, and patient experiences in, primary care and inpatient medicine; empowering patients to radically change their health outcomes with lifestyle improvements; and medical education.
