Biography
Emily Hannum joined the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library team in the fall of 2023 and serves as Library Technical Assistant III. She is responsible for assisting patrons, managing the library’s technology, and working alongside the public services team. Additionally, she supports reference, scholarly communication, and collection development projects. Emily also provides one-on-one research assistance for the medical students as a Personal Librarian.
Emily earned her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2018, and graduated with her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida in May of 2024. Her academic interests include special populations and intersectionality within criminal justice systems, including health topics such as mental disorders and addiction management.
