Biography
Alexis Durante-Tierney joined the Health Sciences Library as a Library Technician III. She graduated with honors from Southeastern Louisiana University with her Bachelors in English, then earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from Long Island University CW Post. During her time at LIU, she completed a fellowship at the Vatican Archives, where she studied archival science and history under top scholars from The Vatican in Rome.In her post-graduate studies, Alexis has worked in the Motion Picture and Sound Division of the National Archives in Washington, DC, where she learned to preserve multimedia records both physically and digitally. In her current work within the library, her time is dedicated to public services outreach and medical archives.
