- Burnett School College of Medicine Communique
As UCF’s Day of Giving approaches on April 13, we hope you will consider a donation to the College of Medicine.
“Day of Giving is designed to celebrate Knight Nation and as a medical school and the foundation of our Academic Health Sciences Center, we have much to celebrate,” said Dr. Deborah German, vice president for health affairs and dean of the College of Medicine. “Together, we are working hard to train tomorrow’s health leaders and improve the health of our community.”
Your gift can help UCF’s College of Medicine continue:
- Building an innovative, research-based M.D. program
- Discovering treatments for the diseases that plague humanity
- Providing care to patients in our clinics, hospital, cancer center
- Helping address the physician shortage with one of Florida’s fastest-growing graduate medical education programs
And through these efforts, UCF is helping build Medical City at Lake Nona into a global destination for medical research, education and patient care.
Our Day of Giving 2023 goal is to raise $50,000 and collect 200 gifts. Don’t worry about the size of your gift. A $10 donation, for example, could buy a digital thermometer for families seeking care at our free clinics. A $20 gift could buy a care package to treat skin issues faced by the patients we serve who are experiencing homelessness.
And if you want to go on a shopping spree, you can name a chair in the Lewis Auditorium for $2,000, create an endowed scholarship or graduate fellowship for $25,000+ or name a facility or the entire COM for $50,000 to $25 million+.
