Groundbreaking for UCF Lake Nona Medical Center, the university’s new hospital in Lake Nona’s Medical City, is October 25 and architects have just released new renderings for the facility.

The hospital will be located on university-owned land directly adjacent to the UCF College of Medicine.

The joint venture hospital, a partnership between UCF and Hospital Corporation of America, will provide another educational facility for Academic Health Sciences Center students and faculty. It will also provide UCF with increased areas for clinical research and employment opportunities for faculty and graduates.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the hospital site. UCF Lake Nona Medical Center is scheduled to open by early 2021.
