UCF Health has expanded its primary care services with the addition of Dr. Michael Seifert to the practice. Dr. Seifert is an internal medicine and sports medicine specialist. He helps patients with both acute and chronic health conditions live a healthy and active life. He will be seeing patients at both UCF Health office locations in East Orlando and Lake Nona.

In addition to meeting patient’s primary care needs, Dr. Seifert has advanced training in sports medicine. He helps patients of all ages and physically abilities to perform at their peak. He can help treat injuries or illnesses that affect their performance and impede them from doing activities they love.

“My hope is to use the full extent of my diverse training background to help as many people as possible,” Dr. Seifert said. “My goal for everyone is that they maintain and improve their health through a healthy diet, physical activity, and treatment of any medical conditions.  I promise to go the extra mile for my patients.”

Dr. Seifert joins UCF Health after completing fellowship training in primary care sports medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. Prior to his fellowship, he trained in internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He earned his medical doctorate degree from University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL.

“UCF Health is an impressive practice and I’m excited to be involved in providing quality care to the Orlando community and to be part of the overall growth happening at the UCF College of Medicine,” Dr. Seifert said.
