UCF medical students were among tens of thousands of people who marched for equality and acceptance November 12 during Orlando Come Out With Pride 2016.

This year’s Pride march, around Lake Eola Park and downtown Orlando, included family members of the 49 people killed at the Pulse nightclub massacre five months ago.

The medical students joined the UCF PRIDE Faculty and Staff Association. Many wore their white coats and t-shirts with the words of UCF President John C. Hitt after the Pulse tragedy: “UCF Stands With You.”

Parade organizers and police estimated the crowd at 30,000 to 50,000.
