Faculty and staff members were honored at the UCF College of Medicine’s third annual end-of-year Hygeia banquet at the Royal Plaza Hotel at Disney’s Lake Buena Vista. In addition to the awards, the M.D. student event featured dinner, dancing, cocktail attire and a silent auction of items including original artwork by medical students.
In Greek mythology, Hygeia was the daughter of the goddess of health and cleanliness and her name has graced the student event since the charter class’s inaugural event in 2010.
