Welcome the New Year with fellow students, faculty and staff at this school year’s Hygeia Gala, set for Saturday, January 11 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Orlando Science Center. This year’s ticket prices are a deal – an early bird special of $20 each for students, $30 each for faculty and staff – and for the first time, you can pay by credit card.

The event will feature dinner, dancing, drinks and scientific fun. Hang out with T-Rex and other life-sized dinosaurs! So you think you know anatomy, but do you know the anatomy of a volcano? Experience how a tornado forms! Check out a 3D maze, karaoke, raffles and arcade games! Student organizers are hoping for a record New Year’s crowd and are even inviting their preceptors and other community physicians. Cocktail attire is requested.

You can easily pay by PayPal at //med.ucf.edu/student-council/hygeia-gala/.

In addition, students will also be selling tickets at noon on Tuesdays outside room 116 in the medical education building. They’re accepting check, cash or credit card payments.

Money raised at the Gala supports the COM Student Council.
