Faculty physicians at UCF Health, the College of Medicine’s new clinical practice, invite you to join them for the 2012 Orlando Arthritis Walk on Saturday, May 12 at Lake Eola Park downtown.

UCF Health rheumatologist Dr. Shazia Bég is the Medical Honorary Chair for the event. Dr. Bég is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the joints, muscles and bones such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and osteoarthritis.

“The physicians and staff at UCF Health are excited to be part of the 2012 Arthritis Walk and raising awareness about this leading cause of disability in our country,” Dr. Bég said.

The walk is also being sponsored by The Arthritis Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about arthritis and helping find a cure for a condition that affects 1 in 5 adults and more than 300,000 children in the United States.

Registration for the walk begins at 8 a.m. with walking beginning at 9 a.m. The event will include entertainment, delicious food and fun kid activities. And you are welcome to bring your dog to walk too!
