Local businesses, led by Averett Warmus Durkee, Carlton Fields and PNC Bank, are hosting a Med School Classic golf tournament April 22 at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club to raise money for M.D. scholarships.

Fees are $375 for a single golfer and $1,500 for a foursome. Players can compete in a Par 3/$10,000 hole-in-one contest; a $5,000 putting content and win prizes on all Par 3 holes. Four randomly drawn players will be able to participate in a $1 million hole-in-one contest.

“We are honored and thankful that our community partners are stepping up to raise money for scholarships,” said Charles (Chip) Roberts, the College of Medicine’s assistant vice president for development. “A strong scholarship fund and community support helps us attract the best and brightest to Orlando’s new medical school.”
