UCF Lake Nona Hospital will hold its annual “Bras for a Cause” event Oct. 2-6 to raise funds to provide mammograms for underserved women. And if you’re an artist, you’re welcome to create a design and submit it by Sept. 29.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hospital departments – and members of the College of Medicine community – are invited to create bra art (a bra with a tasteful theme or design) that will be on display in the hospital’s café during the first week of October. You can vote for your favorite between 11 a.m-2 p.m. each day. One dollar equals one vote. Last year’s event raised $5,000 for Libby’s Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation. During that time you can also vote by email at http://weblink.donorperfect.com/Bras4acause.
The voting ends at 2 p.m. on Oct. 6, when the top three winners will be announced and awarded prizes and a pizza party.
