Biography

 

Dr. Relin Yang is an Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Intensivist. She received her MD degree from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in Miami, FL. She then completed three years of General Surgery Residency at the Hahnemann University Hospital at the Drexel University College of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA.  This was followed by a research fellowship year in Surgical Oncology, with the Sylvster Cancer Center, Department of Surgery at the Unviersity of Miam. Lastly she completed her Anesthesia residency and Critical Care Fellowship at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in Miami, FL.

 

Dr. Yang is the Chief of Anesthesia at the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She serves as an Attending Anesthesiologist for general and surgical subspecialty cases in the operating room and provides Anesthetic Care for remote procedural locations. Prior to this, Dr. Yang was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology with the Miami VA Healthcare System and the University of Miami. She is an active member of several professional groups including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.

 

In partnership with the VA, UCF College of Medicine has identified individuals that provide a significant contribution to the college and medical students. Dr. Yang joined the college in July of 2017 as part of this partnership. VA faculty members are invited to participate in teaching assignments, curriculum and admissions committees, student affairs and research mentorship. Their contributions make a significant impact for both the college and students.
