Biography

Emily Hannum joined the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library team in the fall of 2023 as a Library Technical Assistant. She is responsible for assisting patrons and managing the library’s technology. She also supports reference, scholarly communication, and collection development projects. She hopes the skills developed working at the library will enhance her ability to contribute as a library and information sciences scholar.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland University College in 2017, her master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2018, and is anticipating graduating with her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida in spring of 2024. Her academic interests include special populations and intersectionality within criminal justice systems, including health topics such as mental disorders and addiction management.
