Biography

Casey joined the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library team in 2022 as Administrative Coordinator II. She has been with UCF’s Facilities and Safety division on main campus since 2013 and served in various roles, including Administrative Assistant to the Director of Utilities and Energy Services and Data Analyst I for the Energy Management group. Her experience at UCF will play a key role in her success at COM as she provides high level administrative support, program planning and development. She is responsible for supporting library events to include focus group meetings, lunch and learns and activities which promote the services provided to the library and all COM students faculty and staff.

Casey earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida in 2008. Prior to pursuing a career in higher education, she taught second grade and kindergarten for Lee County Public Schools. Fun fact: Casey sponsors two children in Malawi through Children of the Nations and has traveled to Africa to visit them in 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2018. She hopes to go back in 2026 to see them graduate!
