Biography
Dr. Molins is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2003. She was accepted into medical school at Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico, where she earned her medical degree in 2007. She discovered a passion for emergency medicine and completed her residency at the University of Puerto Rico Emergency Medicine Residency Program, graduating in 2010. Dr. Molins completed a master’s in medical education from Lake Erie College of Medicine in May 2019.
After completing her residency in 2010, she joined Florida Emergency Physicians and relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she has worked at the AdventHealth Emergency Department. She also began working with the AdventHealth Emergency Medicine Residency in 2010, serving as Curriculum Director and Assistant Program Director. Before joining the College of Medicine at University of Central Florida as an Associate Professor, she was an Associate Professor at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.
She is passionate about medical education, medical education research, pediatric emergency medicine, delivering excellent patient care, and serving others through local clinics in the Orlando area and internationally. She also volunteers locally with her Bichon Frise, Lila, as a therapy dog team. She is an enthusiastic tennis fan and local player who enjoys spectating at the Miami Open, the US Open Championships, and tournaments around the world.
