Biography

Dr. Ana Teresa Bernardes has her doctorate in Medicine from the Lisbon School of Medicine is Lisbon, Portugal. She started her career as a Teaching Assistant in Clinical Introduction and Semiology course at the same institution. She then served as a Cardiology Review Lecturer for the Portuguese National Medical Residency Access Examination in Lisbon. She has gained a variety of short-term clinical experiences throughout Orlando and Miami, Florida with a number of medical clinics and hospitals in the area.

Dr. Bernardes has utilized her clinical expertise to volunteer with a number of Lisbon clinical and youth organizations, and speaks three languages. She has been involved in a number of research endeavors, resulting in a few publications in recent years. Dr. Bernardes joined the UCF College of Medicine in 2022 and will be involved in Clinical Skills and Simulation throughout the year.
