Biography

Dr. Casas-Melley has her Doctor of Medicine degree from Medical College of Georgia. Atlanta, GA in 1991 and completed her residency training in General Surgery at Medical College of Georgia in Georgia. In 1996.  From 1993 – 1994 she was a Research Fellow at Central Laboratory, Swiss Red Cross blood Transfusion Center in Bern, Switzerland.  Dr. Casas-Melley is Board Certified with the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Surgery.   

Dr. Casas-Melley joined the University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine in January 2016 as a Professor of Surgery.  In 2022 until present she is the Program Director for the UCF/HCA Florida Healthcare Greater Orlando Osceola General Surgery
