The UCF College of Medicine has received a scholarship donation in memory of a Central Florida Hospitalist Partners doctor who epitomized “the caring physician who always put her patients first.”

Dr. Margret Reusch died unexpectedly this spring. Her husband, Roy Taylor, contacted the medical school about establishing a scholarship in her honor.

“Dr. Reusch’s family wanted to establish a scholarship for a medical student because she was such a caring physician,” said Charles “Chip” Roberts, assistant vice president for development. “This gift continues her legacy as the caring physician who always put her patients first.”

The gift currently totals $4,000 and will provide a $1,000 scholarship each year of a medical school for a new student in the class of 2015. The third class begins at UCF in August.
