The College of Medicine is inviting the community to an open house celebration on Sunday, Oct. 16, so Central Florida residents can see where we’re training the next generation of doctors.

We’re talking fun, food and festivities – and all events are free and open to the public.

The open house will feature tours of the medical education building, including “healing art” exhibits at the Harriet F. Ginsburg Health Sciences Library, interactive educational experiences and sports on the Tavistock Green from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Events also include bounce houses for children, soccer, football and basketball events, caricature artists and animal balloon crafters. The Orlando Repertory Theatre’s Power Chords singing ensemble will perform, and “The Big Red Bus” from Florida’s Blood Centers will be on hand for people wishing to donate blood. And there will be plenty of food to enjoy.

So please invite your family and friends to join us Oct. 16, and see the medical school that belongs to us all.
