ORLANDO, May 14, 2010 — College of Medicine Senior Systems Programmer Aaron Spies has earned his B.S. degree in Information Technology Management at Keiser University. Aaron received his A.A. degree from the University of Central Florida.

Aaron manages and develops IT systems for the college and recently he and his team created a new system that allows the Admissions Department to better track applicants.

“I’ve always been a computer guy,” Aaron said.

Aaron said he is excited about the role technology is playing at the college as it reaches its vision of becoming the nation’s premier 21st century college of medicine. He noted that technology has become an integral part of how the college prepares tomorrow’s doctors, such as computerized mannequins that help students learn to practice the art and the science of medicine.

Aaron’s biggest reaction to graduating with his degree? “It feels good,” he said. “Working and going to school meant I had a lot going on. I sure didn’t have a lot of free time.” Congratulations, Aaron.
