The UCF College of Medicine launched a new website this week based on a new content management system that will allow faster, easier changes and more dynamic, interactive content.

Med.ucf.edu has a more modern design, is more interactive and is easier to search. Content is easier to find and the innovative design reflects the college’s focus in training the next generation of doctors.

In addition, the website provides more opportunities to communicate with internal and external audiences through social media. The website is built on WordPress, a dynamic system, so departments can update content on their own and respond to changes in areas such as calendars and curriculum in a more timely way.

This exciting new website has been six months in the making and illustrates the design and technical expertise of Planning and Knowledge Management’s Communications web team of Matt Vaccaro and Justin Sisley.

“I’m very excited about the changes to the website,” said Dr. Deborah German, vice president for medical affairs and dean of the College of Medicine. “Our website is our face to the world and with this new design and content management system, our face is more innovative, interesting and interactive.”
