Requirements
- 3.4 GPA
- Junior and Rising Junior status
- Biotechnology or Biomedical Sciences major
Most students accepted to PURE have completed some upper division coursework such as Molecular Biology I and Quantitative Biological Methods. These classes are not required for admission to the program, but they provide the student with a strong conceptual foundation for biomedical research.
Each semester, participating students will register for 1 unit of credit in MCB 4915 Program for Undergraduate Research Experience. Satisfactory progress reports are required for continuation in the program. Reports will be completed at the end of each semester by the faculty mentor and program coordinator.
Application
Applications will be accepted between January 1st and March 20th. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by early April.
