Radiology Clinical Research at AdventHealth Orlando

- Location: AdventHealth Orlando
- Application Date: Applications for this program are usually due in April. Select applicants will be invited to interview at AdventHealth Orlando. If accepted, you will be automatically enrolled in the summer or fall semester. Research is performed at the Radiology Department at AdventHealth Orlando.
- Description: Participate in clinical research activities at the AdventHealth Orlando under the mentorship of the Program Directors and selected research personnel.
- Research Commitment: 10 – 15 hours per week.
- Length of Service: One year, beginning in the summer or fall terms.
- Program Orientation: UCF Orientation. Obtain volunteer status at AdventHealth Orlando. Background check required.
- Minimum GPA Requirement: 3.5
- Prerequisites: Anatomy or Physiology. BSC 3403 (Quantitative Biological Methods) is also beneficial for the research component but not required.
- Other Requirements: Unofficial copy of transcripts/academic audit, Personal Resume and “Weekly View” of spring, or fall respectively, class schedule to be submitted with application. You must obtain Volunteer Status at AdventHealth Orlando as soon as possible, preferably by summer.
- Academic Credit: Registration for 1 credit hour of MCB 4941 in the summer or fall.
- Grading: S/U.
- Expenses: Commuting, Polo shirt purchased through AdventHealth Orlando, background check, and vaccination records are required. Students can expect approximately $100 of expenses to obtain AdventHealth Volunteer Status.
- Health Screening: TB test and immunization records may be required by AdventHealth Orlando.
- Program Eligibility: Priority given to students entering their application year (those who will apply for professional school the summer after the internship).
