UCF COM/HCA -VA Rheumatology Fellowship
Thank you for your interest in the Rheumatology Fellowship training program at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine/HCA/Orlando VA Medical Center. Our goal is to provide our fellows with comprehensive training in the subspecialty of Rheumatology. The program is based at the Orlando VAMC, and our training sites include the outpatient Rheumatology practice at the UCF Health and Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando.
We provide didactic and clinical curricula and dedicated Rheumatology board review to support our fellows’ education and training in becoming excellent rheumatologists. Fellows and faculty participate in weekly didactic conferences including lectures, interdisciplinary conferences, Rheumatology-Radiology conferences, journal clubs, quality and patient safety projects, research and hands-on ultrasound training.
We have a great team of faculty and fellows that support each other and work together with specialists in other disciplines and other health professionals and staff to provide the best possible care for our patients and education for our trainees. Our website provides a brief introduction to our Rheumatology Fellowship program and we hope that you find it useful in answering any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Shazia Bég, M.D.
