Biography

I currently teach Human Anatomy, Honors Human Anatomy, Physiology of Reproduction, Clinically Oriented Anatomy for Graduate Students, Laboratory Virtual Simulations in Physiology, guest lecture in Medical Careers Overview, and lead Study Abroad courses to France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, and the UK. In 2022, I was inducted as a Fellow National in The Explorers Club. In late 2024, I was also awarded Fellowships in the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, and membership in the Society of Woman Geographers.

My research is focused on the effects of Human-Elephant Conflict (HEC) on male elephant behavior and physiology, as well as developing sustainable HEC mitigation strategies. For past research, I investigated endocrine and physiological factors contributing to acyclicity in female elephants and allostatic load.
