Our program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants must submit their forms through ERAS. Key application requirements include:
- A Passing Score on the Step 1 and Step 2 USMLE exams and Clinical Skills Assessment (or COMLEX exams for D.O. graduates) must be attained.
- 3 letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement
- Medical School transcript
- Graduation from an accredited Medical School
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited postgraduate program in internal medicine
- A current photograph of applicant
For International Medical Graduates (IMGs), additional requirements include:
- All Foreign Medical Graduates must have ECFMG certification by the time of The Match.
- If an applicant does not have a Green card or U.S. citizenship, our institution sponsors J-1 visas. We do not sponsor H1 visas, no exceptions will be provided.
*Please note that according to the civil service employment law (5 U.S.C. 3328), all eligible US citizens are required to be registered with the Selective Service System, unless the fellow meets certain exemptions, in order to be able to rotate at the Orlando VA Healthcare System (federal facility). This is a requirement for enrollment in our fellowship.
