Welcome to Our Program

Hello and thank you for your interest in our Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship. Our program is sponsored by the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and HCA Healthcare GME Consortium. Our hospital training sites include the Orlando Veterans Administration Hospital, HCA Florida Osceola Hospital, UCF Health, and the outpatient clinics affiliated with these institutions. We are committed to training stellar endocrinologists and caring for the community in Orlando and Central Florida. We are dedicated to fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment for our fellows. We offer inpatient and outpatient experiences at different sites. We have structured weekly academic half days, didactics, Grand Rounds, pathology conferences, journal clubs, and board review sessions. We work closely with a multidisciplinary team including diabetic educators, pharmacists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and allied health professionals. Our clinics cover a very diverse population of common and rare endocrine conditions. Our fellows also receive training in procedural skills such as diabetes technologies, thyroid ultrasound, and fine needle aspirations. We also encourage fellows to participate in scholarship and research and to represent us in local and national endocrine meetings.

We have a great team of faculty and fellows who are recognized throughout the institution for their support of each other, passion for endocrinology, flexibility, and professionalism. The goal of our Endocrinology and Metabolism fellowship is to provide trainees with the comprehensive educational experience they need to become independent practitioners but more importantly we strive to instill in our fellows a long-term love of endocrinology.

Besides a great educational experience, we have new state-of-the-art facilities and live in Orlando, the City Beautiful where the weather is great and there is always something to do. Please peruse the website and contact us if you have any questions. We would love to have you join us!

Sincerely,
