The Knowledge Management and Analytics (KMA) unit collects, maintains, and reports the college data. This process involves working with the university Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system while supplementing the data with 3rd party apps and building custom applications meeting the needs of the college.
The unit consists of knowledgeable and highly trained personnel who assist with designing, developing, testing, implementing, and administering medical education-specific applications for the organization.
This unit provides reporting services, business/system analysis, data migration services, survey tools, 3rd party application support, custom application development & maintenance, and database application modeling. Knowledge Management and Analytics actively engages and collaborates with medical program leaders to integrate data collection and reporting into the business process for each unit. Understanding and having in-depth knowledge of the college processes and those of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) ensures the team has systems, procedures, and timelines that align with mission attainment. Key staff and leadership collaborate with the university ERP and Institutional Knowledge Management (IKM) team to share knowledge and ensure alignment with standards, practices, and policies.
