Training locations
Fellows rotate through a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring a rich and balanced experience:

- Weekly Continuity Clinics at:

- Outpatient Gastroenterology Services at:
- Orlando VA Medical Center
- Osceola Clinic
- Kissimmee Surgical Center
Fellows spend nearly equal time at our Lake Nona and Osceola locations, fostering collaboration and continuity across sites.

Throughout the fellowship, trainees gain hands-on experience in key subspecialties, including:
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
- Hepatology
- Advanced Practitioner Clinics
- Outpatient Endoscopy

Didactics & conferences
We prioritize education and professional development through structured learning:
- Weekly Academic Half Days (AHD)
- Tuesdays, 1:00 – 3:30 PM
- Includes:
- Core didactic lectures
- Journal club
- Fellow-led presentations
- Multidisciplinary case conferences
- Board review sessions
- GI Grand Rounds
call schedule
Our call structure is thoughtfully designed to balance clinical responsibility with wellness:
- Begins in the second block of the first year
- Weekday Call: Every 6th weekday (Mon–Thurs, 5 PM–7 AM)
- Weekend Call: Every 4th weekend (Fri 5 PM–Mon 7 AM)
- Fellows are expected to cover federal holidays during inpatient rotations
