Biography

My name is Katherin Sanchez and I am a senior at the University of Central Florida majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in Psychology. My research interests include studying mental health and the effects of COVID-19, especially in the Latino community. 

After graduation, I am looking forward to pursuing a career in medicine by applying to medical school. As a first-generation Nicaraguan student, I am passionate about working with the underserved Latino community and bridging the gap in access to healthcare. I plan to continue to work hard in order to learn how to better serve my community by educating myself on current issues they face and their effects.
