Biography
Jodi-Ann is a recent graduate from the University of Central Florida where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She is a volunteer of 2+ years and now member of Island Hope International, a nonprofit organization that is focused on eliminating the Black Maternal & Infant Health Crisis through service, advocating and empowerment. Jodi-Ann began volunteering as a research assistant in January 2022. She was able to embark on this opportunity through the Medical Mentorship Navigation Program (MMNP) program at the College of Medicine and remains thankful for the program’s resources. As a former undergrad mentor, she is always inclined to impart resources and knowledge she obtains to students which the program equipped.
Jodi-Ann aspires to be an osteopathic physician and is an active applicant in the 2022-2023 application cycle. Her passionate interests include wholistic care, maternal health, women’s health, health disparities and functional medicine.
She enjoys attending church, quality family time, natural hair care & styling, crochet/knitting, singing and outdoor adventures. One of her personal philosophy is the quote ”Health is a treasure. Of all temporal possessions it is the most precious.”
