Before his appointment, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2016 to 2019. Before that, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biomaterials with the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology (BCAST) in the Institute of Materials and Manufacturing and Brunel Institute for Bioengineering (BIB) at Brunel University London from 2015 to 2016. He was also a Research Scholar in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering with the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Helmerich Advanced Technology Research Center (HRC), at Oklahoma State University from 2013 to 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Biomaterials from the Isfahan University of Technology, awarded in 2014, an MSc in Materials Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, awarded in 2011, and a BSc in Materials Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, awarded in 2008. His research interests are biomaterials, nanomedicine, musculoskeletal tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, metal implants, biomanufacturing, and drug/gene delivery systems. He had the privilege of teaching nanomedicine, biomaterials, advanced materials, and research methodology in medicine. He also served as the chief editor, a member of the editorial board, a scientific reviewer, on the Society for Biomaterials (SFB) committee, and a reviewer in the NIH Study Section.
