Program Highlights
How We Stand Out
Fellows will have protected time and dedicated mentorship to develop innovative projects in domains they are passionate about. They will have ample opportunities to present at regional and national conferences as well as become members and/or serve on national committees.
Our fellows will have the advantage of not only mastering simulation during their time with us, but given that we also have a Medical Education Fellowship, they will have the opportunity to gain additional expertise that will result in well-rounded leaders in multiple different realms of medical education and teaching. We boast a diverse faculty of nationally-renown experts to help you meet your academic goals on every level.
Why Choose Us?
Our mission is to develop experts in the field of Simulation who will be successful leaders in scholarship and teaching in any environment they choose to practice. We have developed an innovative program, catered to support our fellows in reaching their individual and career goals. Fellows are appointed as Volunteer Faculty at the UCF College of Medicine and regularly serve as educators to EM residents and medical students. Our Simulation Curriculum is longitudinal, and our residents have monthly didactics dedicated solely to simulation. A majority of our simulation sessions take place at UCF and our hospital is currently in the process of building a brand-new state of the art simulation center. We also develop large scale multi-residency simulation competitions throughout the year to enhance our curriculum. During their fellowship, our fellows will be given all of the necessary tools they need to be successful in all things simulation, teaching, and scholarship throughout their career.
Our Residency Program
Our fellowship is affiliated with one of the best emergency medicine programs in the Southeast. The EM Residency is a 3-year ACGME-accredited program with 7 residents per year. We boast an expert faculty of nationally-renown experts and leaders in their fields. Our residents and fellows routinely present at regional and national conferences. And we have one of the most prolific research teams in the country!
