Biography

Dr. Tracy MacIntosh has a clinical interest in trauma and critical care medicine as well as international health and community engagement. She enjoys using ultrasound in the care of emergency patients and is eager to teach residents and medical students on its clinical use in the ED.

She attended Yale School of Medicine and completed her residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital, with an academic concentration in Global and Public Health. She has worked with Partners in Health in Haiti, providing emergency care, teaching residents and helping to open a new emergency department.

She serves as the advisor to the UCF Student National Medical Association and is working at the medical and graduate medical education levels to improve diversity in recruitment, and support mentoring of, underrepresented minority students and residents.  She has a personal interest in local community outreach and exposing medical students to a broad range of clinical settings.  She has been honored by UCF for her bedside clinical teaching skills and community service.

Dr. MacIntosh has received numerous teaching awards including the early career educator award and the clinical excellence and professionalism award.  She is excited about creating an innovative residency curriculum and training the next generation of emergency physicians in a rewarding and fulfilling career.
