Program Highlights

How We Stand Out

Our program offers both a one-year certificate program or two-year program with the opportunity to complete a Master’s of Science in Medical Education program (tuition paid).

All graduates will be leaders in resident and medical student education, curriculum development, and educational research. However, each fellow will have the opportunity to select research projects, teaching activities, and curriculum development that fits their individual interests & career goals. We boast a diverse faculty of nationally-renown experts in medical education, simulation, research, and more to help you meet your academic goals on every level.

Why Choose Us?

We have developed an innovative program, catered to support our fellows in reaching their individual professional/career goals. Our mission is to develop educational scholars poised to lead in the scholarship of teaching and learning in GME, UME, and other health professions education realms now and for the future. Fellows are appointed as Volunteer Faculty at the UCF College of Medicine and regularly serve as educators to EM residents and medical students. We utilize an innovative curriculum, including simulation experience, as well as protected time (and faculty mentorship) to develop a curriculum innovation project and other educational scholarship projects.

Our Residency Program

Our fellowship is affiliated with one of the best emergency medicine programs in the Southeast. The EM Residency is a 3-year ACGME-accredited program with 7 residents per year. We boast an expert faculty of nationally-renown experts and leaders in their fields. Our residents and fellows routinely present at regional and national conferences. And we have one of the most prolific research teams in the country!
