The Ganti Lab, in partnership with BrownConnect, hosts the Bethany Ballinger Internship in Clinical Research.

The internship attracts the best and brightest to gain hands-on experience in medical writing, editing, and publishing. Interns work as part of a large collaborative team to produce case studies, and reviews relevant to various areas of acute care.

In 2021, our team averaged one pubmed indexed

publication every 7.9 days.

The program is named after our beloved late founding program director for the UCF Emergency Medicine residency program at Osceola Regional, Dr. Bethany L. Ballinger. Dr. Ballinger’s vision was to cultivate students’ interest for investigation and evidence-based medicine. The internship offers a mentored experience to foster scientific rigor and creative expression in medicine.

Our lab was recently recognized by the American Academy of Neurology with the “AAN Rewards Internship” award for being a research site where students are exposed to the exciting field of neurosciences.
