Anuja Mehta, MD

Our August 2019 KNIGHTS Volunteer Physician Spotlight proudly features Dr. Anuja Mehta, who is dedicated to the helping Orlando’s underserved population and fostering the professional growth of UCF College of Medicine’s future doctors. Dr. Mehta emphasizes the power of a healthcare team through the collaboration of medical students, pharmacy students, social work students, and psychology students early on in their careers to provide highly personalized patient-centered care at KNIGHTS Clinic.

Dr. Mehta started her work with student-run free clinics as a medical student and resident training at University of Florida. Dr. Mehta says,

“I am privileged to be a part of KNIGHTS clinic. The things that I value the most about volunteering at KNIGHTS clinic are an opportunity to see a diverse group of patients in the community and provide care that otherwise would not be accessible to them”, further noting the value of “bedside teaching for preclinical students and being a part of interdisciplinary team where I get to interact with pharmacy, social work, and psychology students.”

Thank you, Dr. Mehta, for your dedication to helping the Orlando community and guiding the development of our future healthcare professionals!

We would also like to thank the Diebel Legacy Fund at Central Florida Foundation for generously supporting KNIGHTS Clinic through their grant-funding to make this all possible.
