Stellenbosch University is located 20-30 minutes outside of Cape Town and offers a variety of medical electives, including medicine, OB/GYN, surgery, pediatrics, psychiatry and pathology. The clinical faculty is very knowledgeable and emphasizes patient-centered care. Stellenbosch University also offers housing, which is conveniently located on campus near the hospital.

- Emergency Medicine: High acuity and lots of trauma. Ability to do a few EMS shifts. Some students were allowed to do many procedures including chest tubes and lumbar punctures
- Dermatology: Wide range of pathology, such as secondary syphilis and bullous pemphigoid, with amazing attendings who are extremely knowledgeable
